This is a small cottage with a bunk bed that has the option of having 2 people in the lower bunk. It has a small kitchen corner with fridge, small stove and basic kitchenware. It has a private WC inside.

This cottage was originally located​

down by Norðlingafljót river as

a cottage for fishermen. It is a part​

of a 3-cottage unit along with

Hóll and Hamar cottages. Later they

were all moved to the farm and now

serve as cute little cottages for

travelers from all over the world.

 

the name

Hlíð means a small hill. In Icelandic

there are often many different words

to describe the same thing. Other

words for a small hill are for example

'brekka', 'halli' and 'hæð'.
